  • During a trip around the world, in 1981, I came in contact with Scuba diving.
Did my first dive for the PADI Open Water Diver Course on the Hawaiian island of Oahu, in Honolulu on the 27th of April 1981

Scuba diving is a pleasant hobby and can be done all around the world, even if one is getting older and older.
All you need to be able to do, is breath air, ofcourse a healthy body helps a lot.
Another thing you need, is a good buddy,
I consider my self very lucky, because I have all of the above,

    Paul

    Alice In Wonderland

Last dive of this season, Nice long deeper dive. Went to the left side on the reef, took a good friend with us on this dive. No special encounters today, took some nice pictures of a Yellow Atlantic Trumpetfish. Pictured also a small Scorpionfish and Spotted Moray Eel, Reached the marker rope after 100 minutes at 48 Bars. After our safety stop we saw a little Octopus, We tried to make some pictures but it was really tugged away in a small cavity in the rock. Never mind, good dive anyway. Pictures and profiles of the last 9 dives will be added later.

    Double Reef

Very nice long dive, plenty to see at 22 m1 depth, visibility was nice as well. Took pictures with an Olympus TG-4 camera, mounted in an additional housing. Getting slowly familiar with this type of camera (rental) First time on this location, it is certainly worthwhile to go there more often.

    Alice In Wonderland

Went to the left on the reef, pictured a Spotted Moray Eel and later a Spanish Lobster, pretty big one, saw some large Ocean Triggerfishes an some big Black Jacks. Got a little bit cold towards the end of the dive. During clearing my mask a small Jellyfish hit my face right over my lip and cheek, so much for a safety stop. Now, 6 hours after the dive, I still feel a stinging sensation. Nevertheless, it was a beautiful day.
