Notes du plongeur

Emily Bomber was large seaplane, called flying porcupine because it was so heavily defended with machine guns. Story behind wreck is interesting as it was flying a rear Admiral down to Rabaul to see if ships could be brought up to Chuuk for repair. Americans intercepted message and had a squad of P-15s waiting to ambush it on the return flight, plane was badly strafed and copilot was killed, but pilot managed to drive off P-15s and fly injured back to Chuuk but crashed on landing in lagoon and plane broke in three pieces on impact
