    au Carnet de plongée

  • I received my SSI OW certification in 1993 with Chuck Senior while in Fort Lauderdale during a double trans-continental crossing of the USA. After recreational diving for the next few years, I received my SSI Advanced Specialty Diver OW certification while on a liveaboard in Cairns, Australia in 1997 with a bloke called Mark.
In 2013 while on a trip to Truk Lagoon, I completed my Nitrox certification on a liveaboard.
In 2014 I moved to Koh Lipe Thailand and completed a Dive Master internship with Ko Lipe Diving, staying on for a couple of months after the internship to work as a Dive Master. An amazing feeling to actually get paid to go diving.
These days I drive a computer for a living, but get to go diving in incredible places while on holidays !

    2023-04-07 Australie Lady Elliott Island
    Anchor Bommies

After traveling all night we arrived at Lady Elliot Island with blue skies and clear blue water. Lady Elliot did not disappoint !! I took a bearing on the surface and we swam out to Anchor Bommie. As we arrived we could see the huge black Manta Ray Taurus getting cleaned. There were a couple of bommies and quite a few manta rays. Of course there was beautiful coral and lovely colourful reef fish, but the manta rays were amazing. I even found the coral encrusted anchor the Bommie is named after.
