    Sea Lion Rookery

First dive at the rookery site. As we pulled up to the site, hundreds of sea lions were on their way off the beach into the water. Took us a while to find them, but once we did we had a consistent following of at least 10 for the remainder of the dive! The young ones dove down to meet us and play around. Spent the whole dive pretty shallow. Got some cool pics! Pretty long surface swim back to the boat...we went pretty far chasing the lions!

    Wyckoff Ledge

Incredible dive! Swam through the canyons leading out from the coast. When we first went down, there was a hazy cloud a couple feet off the bottom. Turns out it was a cloud if tiny shrimp! A seal followed us through the kelp for part of the dive. Tons of urchins. Excellent visibility, especially for the islands.

    Eureka Oil Rig

First dive at the Eureka platform. Conditions were really nice in the morning! Definitely glad we went on the morning trip instead of the afternoon one. I was kinda nervous getting into the water and I used more air than I thought I would have, but it wasn't a big deal. No big fish this time (other than the usual Sheepsheads), but there's plenty of small life on the pilings and beams. Beautiful dive!

    Fishhook

Very cool night dive. Saw a tiny leopard shark (<1ft) and a octopus while shining my light around on the sand. It was fun diving a site I was already familiar with (although I still got lost a little) at night. Saw something large out in the distance, maybe a shark, but who knows!
