    The Crèche

Boat: Coral Gypsy Very murky starting off, less than a metre visibility. As weather quite bad, stuck to the shallows areas as it was calmer and protected by Orpheus Island. Found sheltered patch with bit of visibility. This site had a lot of small and fragile corals & fish to go with it. Felt like a giant, not a lot of sights to see but nice enough. On way coming back home from Island, came back into Ingham, and were lucky to get back to Townsville due to flooding on the main land. Ended up spending an extra night in caravan park while highway cut off. What an end to expedition!!

    Kelso Reef

Was almost a perfect day, slight overcast and a little bit of sweet, but still great visibility. Saw wide range of reefs, corals and fish (clown fish, eels, giant clam, coral trout and many more). Good ascent and descent - was easy to get sidetrack with all the new and wonderful forms of life to look at.
