    Juno Ledge (Tunnels)

The dive trip to Stuart which never happened. I had the 6 pack reserved for Stuart. Jim/Carol dropped out due to family. Then Will/Ro dropped out. Joy and I ended up diving in Stuart on Down Deep. Saw like 15 Goliath Grouper, 20 sharks, and 30 turtles. Top to bottom vis too. The current was so strong, we hit sand at the end of the dive site. I found a perfect sand dollar in the sand and broke it on ascent, it was so fragile!

    Blue Heron Bridge (East)

With Jim and Carol, we hit the snorkel trail and went east. Found a garden eel and I quickly wished I didn't leave my GoPro at home. Also found a false Manta (that's what Jim called it). I tried to keep it from hiding so Jim could get a picture and one lapse of concentration and he got away. I still haven't got my mask back from Sea Pup, so I was diving my original mask. It's a noticeable difference in peripheral vision. Found some cool Octos while heading to the bridge. Saw several spotted type eels under the bridge. Jim lost us under the bridge and was missing out on the Frogfish I found. Yes, a frogfish! I pointed it out to Carol and it literally took her 30 seconds to see it. It went for a swim and landed in a different area. While swimming, it had it's lure out, which was interesting. Almost like it was trying to bait something into checking it out while swimming. We found Jim and brought him to get some pics. On the way out some kid said he found a lionfish in the sargasm on the shore. Ran into Gina and she said it was a frogfish and kindly asked them to release it in the water. I went to take a picture and ask the same thing. Apparently they complied with her and we couldn't find it. At least it was released.

    Mid Reef

2nd dive on Sandy's Sunday. Dove the top side of the ledge with Aric so that we could hit the barge. Jim was on air and was swimming a much higher profile. Lost him after the barge. Saw a long moray eel (green) in a pipe. Tried to spook it out, but it wouldn't budge. Aric accidentally woke up a turtle I was close to. Missed killing the only lionfish I saw on this dive, which was pretty small. Had good air consumption. Dove Aric's steel 100 rental and he called the dive using my 120.

    Evan's Crary

Went out with Stuart Scuba. Took my piece of shit mako speargun lobster/lionfish bag. Was hunting with the DM. He was using my bag for his catches. Large Lionfish everywhere. Had a near miss on a lf which I didn't have on the spear good. It swam towards me and around a corner. The next lf flinched as I was bagging it and I took a hit on my thumb and ring finger. Dropped the bag and let Mike know I was surfacing. It happened 20 minutes into the dive. There wasn't any hot water on the boat. The quantity of fish in the area was amazing. On descent there were fish everywhere on the edge of visibility. Barracuda would poke their heads within vis and disappear. The sea floor was blanketed in fish. Pretty cool site, just wish I could have bagged more lionfish. Going to buy a longer pole, zookeeper, and poke resistant gloves.
