Manta Dive Gili Air opened in 2008 with a few rooms, one boat and a dozen sets of diving equipment.  Over the last 9 exciting years we have expanded the business to its full potential, teaching thousands of happy students along the way.  We are now the leading SSI dive center in the region, offering SSI and Padi beginner dive courses and SSI Professional level training, guiding for qualified divers to see the delights around the Gili Islands,  and accommodating our guests in our resort rooms.  Our management and staff are on hand to answer any questions you have and to make sure that your diving and holiday with us is one to remember.

What kind of boat do you have \\\? How many diver \\\/ non diver can be on board \\\? What equipment do you have \\\(oxygen, tea, ....\\\) \\\?

Wooden, covered lombok style boats with outriggers. We have several boats with capacity from 12 \\ 25 divers. We carry standard O2, communications, and first aid equipment on board.

Do you do shore dives \\\? Is it on your house reef \\\?

No, due to changing currents and tides it is not always safe. The closest diving reef is a 5 minute boat ride.

How far is the closest decompression chamber \\\?

In Lombok or in Bali

Are you using steel or aluminium tanks \\\? Of which capacity \\\?

Aluminum 12 L and for children 6\/ 7 L

Do you provide Nitrox or Trimix \\\? Any standard mix you provide \\\?

Nitrox available 32% only

Are you selling gear on\\\-site \\\? What type \\\/ What brands \\\? Why should customer buy through you\\\? Are you part of a brand's dealer network \\\?

We have mainly Sunnto, Aqualung, and ScubaPRO products on site. These are the brands that we use as rental gear and what we know will work for our customers too. You can try the gear on a dive, so you know which fins, mask, etc works best for you.

Do you perform maintenance on gear on\\\-site \\\? What kind \\\& What brands \\\? Do you have brand maintenance certifications \\\?

Yes, we have mainly ScubaPRO brand equipment for the diving gear. Our maintenance is on site by our certified Scuba PRO technician. We cannot service other brands.

What are the services that you provide \\\? locker, class rooms, shower, swimmingpool, jacuzzi...

Outdoor shower, 3 swimming pools, one dedicated for diving, and a resturant on site.

What payment means do you accept on site \\\?

Cash, Credit Card \\\(additional fees\\\), and Paypal \\\(additional fees\\\).

Is there any specific period where there are exceptional marine life to see \\\?

In the Dec \\\- Feb, rainy season we have lower visibility and higher chance to see pelagics such as manta rays and whale sharks. The rest of the year we tend to have clear blue water, which makes for amazing diving.

Do you do transfers to and from hotels in the area \\\?

We can arrange horse carts to bring you between hotels, as there are no motorized vehicles on this island. We can also arrange flights and fast boats to and from Bali.

Is there a dedicated parking for your customers \\\?

We have dedicated bike parking, as there are no motorized vehicles on this island. There are also horse carts, if you have too much luggage to carry it the ten minute walk from the main boat harbor.

Do you organize activities for non\\\-divers \\\? What are the great activities in the area for non divers \\\?

No, but it is very easy to rent snorkeling gear next door to visit our house reef out in front of Manta Dive. Enjoy snorkeling on our \\\"manta \\\- shaped\\\" artifical reef to see that many varieties of fish and maybe turtles as well.
