Phocea Mexico is based in Playa del Carmen, a charming village on the Caribbean coast of the Yucatan peninsula, and also on the island of Cozumel, another paradise for divers, an underwater site whose reputation has been a fact for a long time. Moreover, it is with pride and for your greater pleasure than we will open, in February 2015, a dive center in La Paz (Baja California).

Second dive at Los Islotes. Dive the southeast side. Only saw one sea lion early in dive :( Rest of dive was fine, though. Saw a turtle, lots of other stuff. Prettier corals on this part of the island.

Los Islotes sea lion colony! Ahhh! This was awesome! Loved diving with sea lions! They were super curious and playful! Had one nip at my hands and camera, one nip at my fins at one point. Also watched DM have some play with his fins. There were also a couple of REALLY BIG male bull sea lions around, too. Sea lions are just so joyful and playful... One of my favorite dives ever. Definitely want to come back and do this again!

Phocea rocks !
I went diving with my son (18yrs old, OW) while on a journey to scout Yucatan. We dived in August 2017 in "Dos Ojos" cenote and on the reef in Play del Carmen, then had a one-day dive trip to Cozumel (Palancar). The organisation was top notch, and crew very friendly. Most appreciable is that for each dive, the group of divers were in a limited number. Excellent gear, quite new, and organisation that allow you to mix your own piece of equipment (regulator, either Yoke or DIN, aso...) with theirs with the same careful attention. Good boats, not brand new, but with experienced local crew. Safety is well handled (I am Rescue Diver and usually check oxygen, etc...). Finally, prices are OK for what is delivered... I am so satisfied that I plan to return diving with them...

Friendly and secure
Very good team, that ensures you really enjoy your dives. Outstanding knowledge of local sites plus cenotes, too. Will come back and choose them again.
